Your Guide To 2022 Lagrange Co. 4-H Fair

May 15 - Online Animal Registration Deadline

  • This is for Animal ID and Vaccination forms need to be completed on the website below.

  • ALL 4-H animals MUST be registered online through in.4honline.com to be eligible to show at the county fair. This is a very firm dead line. No exceptions will be made.

  • More than one horse can be registered under one person.

June 1-30 Fair Entry

  • You will need to enter which class your horse will be competing in. 

  • Update in 2022, where you will only have to pick Horse and Pony and not a specific class. THIS IS FOR HORSE AND PONY CLUB ONLY! NO OTHER ANIMALS.

June 27 - June 30 (6-7:30pm)  - Fair Packet Turn In Week​

  • Bring your completed books, fair packet and stall fees.

    • Please make sure class sign ups are one per horse & rider combination​

  • You will need to sign up to to work two shifts during fair week.

  • These nights will also be the only time you can order extra t-shirts. Extra shirts are $10 each (2XL $12, 3XL $13). Prices subject to change.

  • If the 4-Her is registered on in.4honline.com under the Horse & Pony Club then any completed books for any white building project should also be brought with you. We will check and make sure the books are completed and sign your Certificate of Completion that you need to enter your project into the county fair. Please do NOT bring the project with you.

  • Please check back at a later time for posted fair packet.

Tuesday, July 5 @ 5:30 pm - Fairgrounds Set Up

  • ALL families are needed to help set up the grounds.

    • Horse & Pony will be placing shavings into the stalls​ and doing some general maintenance of our facilities.

Wednesday, July 6 @ 6:00 pm - General Business Meeting

  • The committee will be going over fair week agenda, handing back packets, and giving out t-shirts.

  • Kids will pick up rocks in the arena

  • Lastly we will go through stall selection and kids will be able to decorate their stalls and move in any tack boxes.

  • We will be doing our annual potluck this evening as well. Please bring a dish tp pass. Committee will provide the meat/main course.

2021 4-H Fair Week

Friday, July 8

  • Horses may enter the barn 6-11 pm.

Saturday, July 9

  • Horses may enter the barn 6 am - 12 pm. Horses must be stalled by 12 pm.

  • 12 pm - Wellness Check - 4-H member or parent must be present. Shot form must be on file with committee.

    • Please be ready and waiting so this process can go quickly. We hope to have it take no more than 20 min.​

    • If your form is not present or complete your horse will be sent home.

  • Pick up your back numbers from the fair office.

Sunday, July 10

  • Parade starts at 3pm. Please be ready with your horse and wearing your Horse and Pony t-shirt ​on the north side of the H&P barn by 2pm if you want to be in the parade. We will ride over to the parade line up as a group

  • Kids' game in the arena will start at 5 pm. We hope to have some snacks as well for those that are in the game.

Tuesday, July 12

  • Show starts at 9 am.

Wednesday, July 13

  • Show starts at 9 am.

  • Work schedule is posted in the entry booth

Thursday, July 14

  • Show starts at 3pm(subject to change depending on weather),  Seniors and 10 year members recognized at 6pm.

  • Work schedule is posted in the entry booth

Friday, July 15

  • Fun Show to start at 5pm.

  • Check the work schedule to see when your shift is for the Fun Show

  • Horses/Ponies released after 10 pm.

Saturday, July 16

  • Horses/ponies must be out of barn by 12 pm.

Monday, July 18

  • Fairgrounds clean up at 5:00pm. All families are needed.

Sunday, August 28

  • Horse & Pony club awards banquet at 5 pm.
